We all know. Whether consciously or unconsciously, we judge and evaluate behaviour, things or people according to appearance on a daily basis. Anyone wandering aimlessly around a bookshop will usually reach for a book with an interesting and visually appealing cover. A person's appearance and dress can often mean success or failure. Like it or not, you can't avoid it. The power of the first impression has us all in its grasp - all it takes is 100 milliseconds. 100 milliseconds that determine sympathy or antipathy, competence or incompetence.

So the question now is: If I cannot escape the first impression, how can I use it for myself and my company? What has to be just right to win over a customer? Of course personal contact, a commanding appearance, a friendly smile and a steady gaze. But how best to proceed without direct contact to the customer? How can you convince and win over potentially interested parties?

The answer is to have presentation folders printed. With the right corporate design, they will serve as your figurehead, your smile, positively showcasing your products, goods or services. Folders are priceless when it comes to making special offers. Whatever you want to give your customers - be it an image brochure or a product folder, combined with a cover letter as well as a business card or even a storage medium - one thing is certain, a presentation folder is your best bet.

The End Justifies the Folder – Presentation Folder, Proposal Folder, Conference Folder, Press Folder.

Many words that more or less mean the same thing, but are often aimed at different target groups. The aim determines the name - but we at printworld.com think universal and simply refer to them as presentation folders. But how and where can the folders be used? We have had a look around and put together some exciting potential uses./p>

Print presentation folders with a logo, because …

... they are the undisputed jack-of-all-trades and they are the gift that keeps on giving. They put the PRESENT in PRESENTation. And they make no distinction between companies or individuals, between goods, products or services. Their aim is to give your customers the most positive impression possible of your content. Of course, you should ideally create your folder in your corporate design because, as always, recognition value is decisive for the strength of your brand. Presentation folders are primarily used in the creative and media industries.

Print a portfolio, because ...

... it is a storage miracle. Its services are often required in the most diverse situations. It is robust and allows you to store changing contents over a longer period of time. It's therefore all the more important to choose the right text/image design. Print the folder with your logo and company-specific motifs and create a high-quality storage space for your documents.

Print a press folder …

... a remnant from analogue times? Certainly not! Press folders are still a popular tool for corporate PR officers even in the digital age. It gives media representatives access to key information about the company and its objectives, offers and important events. The contents of the press kit are not static, but are subject to constant change. Once the framework is in place, however, media representatives can be provided with information quickly and without too much research required to publish it later in magazines or news portals.

Print a proposal folder …

... and the mountain comes to the prophet. When you send your prospective or potential new customer an offer, you've already taken the first step. Successful initial contact and first impression got you shortlisted. Perfect, we say! Now it is time to maintain that first positive impression. Your courted customer certainly has other offers that need to be considered. This makes it all the more important to continue to make a convincing impression. Do without a generic email offer and instead create a proposal folder with your logo and all required information and send it to the interested party; that way you send them the crucial message - "You are important to us!"

Print a sales folder, because...

... it is the big brother of the proposal folder. - Job done. The consultation went smoothly and satisfactorily, the customer was hooked and nothing else stood in the way of the deal. A good enough reason to collect all contract information and other important documents together in a clear and organised way in a sales folder for the customer. The sales folder is ideal for car dealerships, financial service providers and insurance companies.

Print a conference folder, because...

... it's a must-have for your event. How you design your conference folder, with or without flap, is entirely up to you. We recommend the design that is closed on 3 sides to ensure that conference documents cannot fall out. Combine your folder with an additional filing device and add a separate block to the contents. This allows you to offer your participants the opportunity to file their notes and memos neatly. Have you ever asked yourself what belongs in a conference folder? In addition to the programme, list of speakers and self-promotion, it is always a good idea to include an additional notepad and a biro. This guarantees that you remain in the customer's focus even after the conference.

Print a promotional folder, because ...

... like the presentation folder, it is universal. True to its name, its function is to present information to the public or create brand awareness and strength. In this respect, all folders are to a certain extent also promotional folders - because sales-generating measures of all kinds, as well as PR and trade fair campaigns all fall under the category of promotion. The aim of a promotional or image folder should always be to present the company to the outside world in a sophisticated and professional way.

Print a seminar folder, because ...

... it appeals to the learned among us. Like the conference folder, it aims to arrange seminar contents chronologically, thus creating a common thread. The seminar folder is primarily used for training. It contains working materials, for example printed presentation slides, a writing pad and further documentation. They are the figurehead for the organiser, which if attractively designed, are subconsciously perceived as a mark of professionalism.

Print a trade fair folder …

... and off you go to convince the world. New customer acquisitions in an informal context and among like-minded people - trade fairs are a breeze. Whether you are a medium-sized company or a large corporation, at trade fairs networking takes place on a grand scale, contacts are made and partnerships formed. To ensure you are prepared and your company shines in the right light, give your customers something that lasts beyond the trade fair. A conversation can be forgotten, a folder with all the important information will remain.

The content is important, so it should be simple and consistent with your corporate design. Supplement your portfolio with a relevant slogan to arouse attention and interest. The content is essential. Customise Your Presentation Folders by Selecting Paper Type and Other Details.

Each of our folders can be designed according to your needs - fist of all there is the choice of paper types, for example 300g image print paper in "glossy" or "matt" as well as 350g SBS (solid bleached sulphate) board. We recommend different types of paper depending on taste, intended use and design. In order to avoid losing documents and papers, we advise you to include a reinforced fastener when printing folders. This is the only way to guarantee that precious contents stay where they belong - in the folder. Is a reinforced fastener not an option? A good alternative is certainly a presentation folder with a flap - whether with 2 or 3 parts is for you to decide. Supplement your folder with an additional address window and take advantage of the option to post it to your customers.

The Journey to the Print File – What Do You Need to Think About When Creating Your Folder?

We need your help to supply you with the quality you expect and to allow you to benefit from our excellent printing technology. A short outline will tell you what you need to consider when creating the print data. The first step is to get the basic layout right, for this purpose you can always use our free design templates. As soon as you start the layout, always consider the required trim of 2 mm. For you, this means that any graphic elements that are to run right up to the edge of the document must always be drawn 2 mm beyond the final format. In addition, texts and images should be positioned within the layout with a safety clearance of at least 5 mm from the edge of the final format.

All important parameters can be found in our product data sheet along with illustrative charts and further information, e.g. on file format and colour mode. If you have any further questions, you can always get in touch with our customer service directly. Together we can certainly find a solution.

Once the data has been finalised, we will of course carry out a free basic data check to verify the general suitability of your data - this includes file format, page size, number of pages and font embedding. For a small additional charge we also offer an advanced data check. This verifies, beyond the basic data check, colour space, image resolution, white overprinting, line thickness and ink coverage.
