Business Cards With Partial Coating – Contact in Three Dimensions.

Visitenkarten mit partieller Lackierung

At trade fairs, conferences or business meetings - wherever business cards change hands, they have to stand out from the competition in order to be remembered and not end up in a drawer or even a wastepaper basket.

So to make your business card catch the eye and remain in your customers' hands, so to speak, printworld.com offers two options for print finishing: partial relief coating and partial UV coating.

FAQ on Coatings – Or How Can I Partially Coat My Business Card?

What Is a Partial UV Coating?

Partial UV coating is a colourless high-gloss finish which, as the name suggests, is applied to individual text and image elements of the printed product. We will spare the chemistry here. The main feature is rapid curing and drying of the coating using the UV radiation that gives this product its name. This enables a finished print product with glossy accents that can be produced quickly.

What Is A Partial Relief Coating?

Partial relief coating is also a member of the UV coating family. In contrast to pure UV coating, in this case, the coating is applied in successive layers, creating a raised effect.

Why Choose a Partial UV or Relief Coating?

As already mentioned earlier, partial coatings make your business card stand out - literally. The three-dimensional effect is particularly tangible with relief coating, but even on UV coated surfaces you can see and feel the tactile difference between coated and uncoated surfaces. Shiny objects draw attention and draw the eye. So play with the tactile and visual effects of partial coatings and use them to highlight whatever you want to stand out. These are typically the company name and slogan, but logos are also crying out to be highlighted: Be it the tools of the craftsman, the varnished nail at the nail studio, the scissors at the hairdresser or the honey bee at the beekeeper - at first sight and touch a partial varnish clearly shows whatever should be the focus of attention.
